PRINCIPAL LOAN ORIGINATORAlex entered banking in 2003 and spent the next two decades building expertise from the inside out — as a branch banker, licensed MLO, and branch manager. He became an independent licensed MLO in March 2020, spending the following years refining his non-QM specialization across the wholesale market before founding GT Home Lending (Pinnago Home Loans LLC) in May 2026 — built around a specific client he had spent years identifying: the sophisticated borrower whose income doesn't fit a checkbox.
Alex specializes in the files that make other lenders uncomfortable. Multiple entities, RSU income, DSCR portfolios, foreign earned income, business liabilities in personal names. That complexity is where he works best.
He's also been a real estate investor since 2008, when he purchased his first home in South Florida, and expanded into investment properties in 2011. He understands depreciation, 1031 exchanges, and portfolio strategy from the investor's seat — not the lender's clipboard. Every client gets his direct number and direct access from the first call to the closing table.
Alexis Agopian is co-founder and Managing Partner of GT Home Lending, responsible for the firm's business development, marketing, operations, and investor relations. He brings a builder's mindset to every function he touches — from brand strategy to client experience infrastructure to growth systems.
A native of Buenos Aires, Alexis holds a degree in Marketing and Advertising from Universidad Argentina de la Empresa. He relocated to Miami in 2013 and quickly became active in the South Florida real estate market — leading residential fix-and-flip projects and overseeing the acquisition and repositioning of multifamily assets from Class C to Class B.
That real estate background directly shapes how he approaches GT Home Lending's operations. He understands the investor's timeline, the cost of slow lending, and the complexity that comes with building a portfolio — and he's built the firm's client systems around that standard.
